Hispanic Cheese Makers Response to Covid-19


Hispanic Cheese Makers has always been committed to our employees and our customers. Over the past several weeks, our production facility has been working 6 days / week 24 hours a day to meet our customer demands.

Responding to a report of Covid-19, Hispanic Cheese Makers has made the decision to carry out a voluntary and temporary production shutdown. Our plant is not and has not been infected with the virus. We are taking this action as a precautionary measure to responsibly ensure the health and safety of our workers. Accordingly, this production shut down will last for two weeks commencing from April 25, 2020 to May 10, 2020.

The company is taking added steps to provide pay for plant employees during the two-week plant shutdown.

We are taking immediate action to minimize the impact of this production interruption on our customer orders and we will be reaching out directly to every one of them to discuss their specific situation.

During the temporary interruption in production we are taking all the necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of our employees for the safe re-start of our operations on May, 10, 2020.

As a reminder, the FDA* has issued clear communication that there is no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with the spread of COVID-19.

Nuestra planta no est谩 ni ha sido infectada con el virus. Estamos tomando esta medida como precauci贸n para garantizar de manera responsable la salud y la seguridad de nuestros trabajadores. En consecuencia, la producci贸n se interrumpir谩 temporalmente por dos semanas del 25 de abril de 2020 hasta el 10 de mayo de 2020.

La compa帽铆a est谩 tomando medidas adicionales para pagar a los empleados de la planta durante el cierre de la planta por esas dos semanas.
